The new/revitalized ObsidianOz band live
Location: The O.S. Art House/Johns Bar & Grill, 17 John St. off Nassau, 212.-349-3278
Time: Friday, August 7th, 9 PM
Come hear the hottest alt/pop band to burst onto a Manhattan stage, the new, revitalized ObsidianOz for their first live summer 2009 new york appearance.
Performing original music from “The Dream” CD. With an upbeat, soulful, funkier sound the pace is set by veteran drummer Terry Shook, supported by the thunder velvet bass of Vince Saladino, and Oz Middleton's quirky scat-paned singing style. Along with appearances by Jeremy Halpern and Robert Kipp makes the rhythm section sizzle.
The addition of three show-stopping divas take songs from the recently released CD to a new high def; Heidi Rodney (Mocca Rock) a headline actress in her own right owns stage and mic, Denise Jackson (Soul Diva) brings the hair on your arms to attention, and Janet Mignon (Jiggy Pop) with a dazzling array of percussion and conga stops your tracks long enough to dance the night away.
This is the one you don't want to miss.
See you there.
