Description: Many Atlas youth live in foster care or in homeless shelters without parents who can provide "homework help." Others live in families where English is not a first language. Thus, Atlas seeks editors for youth writing term papers, research assignments, cover letters and resumes! This is a great job that can be done from home, as long as you have patience and ability to not just correct a student's writing but also teach him/her how to make positive changes in the future!
Organization's Mission Statement: A cooperative empowerment center for immigrant youth and their allies. Atlas is an NGO currently under development in new york City. Offering legal, mental health, career, educational and life skills services, Atlas provides for the most vulnerable of NYÂ’s youth populations: immigrants. By utilizing a cooperative approach, members of Atlas sit on our board, take part in all decision making processes, and are both the benefactors and beneficiaries of services offered at the center. Please join us in support of this exciting new organization!
